Two-step verification

Two-step authentication protects your Fizen Pay account with an additional level of security, which helps keep your account safe. If compromised, your finances, customer details, and transaction information are at risk.

One-time use backup codes

If you lose your phone or otherwise can't get authentication codes by your Google Authenticator app, you can use backup codes to bypass 2-step authentication.

Important: Once you use a backup code to sign in, that code becomes inactive. You can get a new set of 10 backup codes when you have 3 or fewer backup codes left.

Step 1. Too see your backup code, click View backup codes button.

Step 2. Enter your Google Authentication code, or click Use Password to enter your password instead.

Step 3. Click Download to download your backup codes.

When you have 3 or fewer backup codes left, you can click Generate more to get a new set of 10 backup codes.

Secondary authentication

Fizen Pay enables you to use your one-time use backup codes to reset your 2-step verification device if you lose access to your old device. You should navigate to the Secondary authentication section and follow the steps below.

Step 1. Click Change device

Step 2. Click Use backup code or Use password when asked to enter Google Authentication code.

Step 3. Enter one of your one-time use codes or your password.

Step 4. Follow the instructions to set up a new 2-step verification device.

For security reasons, we're unable to reset your 2-step verification if you're unable to recover with your one-time use backup codes and password.
