You could set up your payments in Payment settings
This is the fiat currency displayed under the crypto currency value in Fizen Pay dashboard, and also when you create a new invoice. You can change local currency by selecting from the dropdown.
Due to the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, the price of specific cryptos can change between the time a payment is initiated to the time the payment is received. If your customerβs wallet uses a significantly different exchange rate than Fizen Pay, prices can fluctuate even more.
Now as a merchant, you can set up Flexible Payments to accept payments that are slightly above or below your listed price.
Your customers will not see these thresholds.
You can set the thresholds in either absolute numbers or in relative percentages.
- Absolute: An absolute threshold is a number value that the underpayment or overpayment from a customer can fall within while still being approved and marked as a Complete payment.
Example: Set absolute underpayments threshold = $0.1 means you accept a payment of $9.9 for a $10 order. Set absolute overpayments threshold = $0.1 means you accept a payment of $10.1 for a $10 order.
Important: The currency in Local currency, Underpayments threshold, Overpayments threshold must be the same.
- Relative:
A relative threshold is a percentage that the underpayment or overpayment from a customer can fall within while still being approved and marked as a Complete payment.
Example: Set relative underpayments threshold = 1% meaning you accept a payment of $99 for a $100 order. Set relative overpayments threshold = 1% meaning you accept a payment of $101 for a $100 order.
If the difference between the received payment and the listed price exceed the underpayment threshold, the payment will be marked as UNDERPAID
If the difference between the received payment and the listed price exceed the overpayment threshold, the payment will be marked as OVERPAID
