# Project & Objectives

> What tokenized securities are and why Fizen brings tokenized U.S. securities into the Fizen Super App.

## What are tokenized securities?

Tokenized securities are digital assets issued on a blockchain that represent an interest in a traditional financial asset, such as a stock, a bond or an investment fund.

These assets are often called **Real World Assets (RWA)**. For more on RWA, see [References](https://docs.fizen.io/help-center/fizen-us-stocks/references.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> A tokenized security is not the underlying security itself. In the words of the [Tokenized Securities Terms](https://docs.fizen.io/tokenized-rwa.md) (section 7.4), it "is a tokenized representation". Your rights as a token holder are set by the issuer, Ondo, and may be less than the rights of someone who holds the share directly.

## Project objectives

* Bring tokenized U.S. securities into the Fizen ecosystem, alongside payments, eSIM and the other services in the Fizen Super App.
* Give users outside the United States a simple way to get price exposure to well-known U.S. securities, such as shares of large companies like Apple and Meta and large exchange-traded funds, directly from their own wallet.
* Later, add tokenized U.S. government bonds (see [Main Products](https://docs.fizen.io/help-center/fizen-us-stocks/main-products.md)).

> [!WARNING]
>
> Tokenized securities are an investment, not a savings product. Their value can fall, and you can lose some or all of what you put in. Not available to U.S. Persons. This page is information only and is not financial advice.
