# Deposit into QR Pay

> QR Pay is funded only with USDT on Solana or BNB Chain. How to deposit from your Fizen wallet, and what to do if your USDT is on another network.

You spend from your QR Pay balance, so before your first payment you move USDT from your Fizen wallet into QR Pay.

> **QR Pay is funded only with USDT on Solana or BNB Chain.**
>
> * No bank account link, no card top up, and no deposit in local currency such as VND or PHP.
> * Not USDC, not BTC, and not USDT on Tron or Ethereum.
> * USDT on another network, or another token, **cannot be deposited** into QR Pay.
>
> If your USDT sits on another network, use **Swap & Bridge** in the app to move it to Solana or BNB Chain first.

## How to deposit

**1. Open QR Pay**

On the app home screen, select **QR Pay**. First time here? Complete [identity verification](https://docs.fizen.io/help-center/fizen-qr-pay/kyc.md) first.

**2. Tap Deposit**

Select the **Deposit** option.

**3. Enter the USDT amount**

Enter how much USDT to move from your Fizen wallet. Only USDT on **Solana** or **BNB Chain** can be used.

**4. Agree to the Terms and confirm**

Accept the Terms and Conditions, then swipe to confirm. Your QR Pay balance updates once the transfer completes.

> **Gas differs by network.** Depositing on **BNB Chain** costs you no gas fee. Depositing on **Solana** needs a small amount of **SOL** in your wallet to cover gas, so keep a little SOL there alongside your USDT. If you hold no SOL, use BNB Chain instead.

## How much to move in

Only move in what you plan to spend on this trip. The Fizen wallet is self custody and you hold the keys, while USDT you move into QR Pay is governed by the [Fizen QR Pay Terms](https://docs.fizen.io/fizen-qr-pay.md). Anything you do not spend stays in your QR Pay balance for your next trip.

## Getting USDT in the first place

Where you buy USDT is up to you. Send it to your Fizen wallet address on **Solana** or **BNB Chain**:

**1. Tap Receive in your wallet**

Choose **USDT**, then choose the **Solana** or **BNB Chain** network.

**2. Copy that address**

Send your USDT to it from wherever you hold it. Always check that the sending side uses the same network.

**3. Already hold USDT elsewhere?**

Use **Swap & Bridge** in the app to move it onto Solana or BNB Chain, then deposit into QR Pay.
