# Check Your Data Balance

> See how much data you've used and what's left on your Fizen eSIM, right on the eSIM details screen.

## Check in the app

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Fizen App → eSIM">
    From the home screen, tap **eSIM**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap My eSIMs and select your eSIM">
    You'll see every eSIM you own. Tap the one you're using.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the Data used counter at the top">
    The eSIM details screen shows **Data used** right at the top, e.g. `500MB / 5GB`, so you instantly know how much you've spent and how much is left.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The same screen also shows everything else about your plan:

* **Plan summary** — daily allowance, duration, and type (e.g. 1 GB/day · 7 days · Data only)
* **Expiry date** — when the plan stops working
* **Coverage** and **Package details** — countries and full plan terms
* **ICCID** (under Manual installation) — the number support may ask for

<Info>
  Usage stats can take a few minutes to sync. Your phone's built-in data counter measures the whole line since it was last reset, so it usually won't match the plan balance exactly. The app is the accurate source.

## Running low?

Tap **Buy another eSIM** at the bottom of the same screen, or pick a new plan from the **eSIM** home tab. It takes a few taps and there's nothing to reinstall.

<Note>
  Buy the top-up **before** the old plan runs out and you'll stay connected the whole time, no gap, no hunting for Wi-Fi.
</Note>

## Make your data last longer

* Turn off **background app refresh** and **auto-updates** while traveling
* Watch **hotspot sharing**, it drains a plan faster than anything else
* Set video streaming apps to lower quality on mobile data
* Maps work offline: download your city's map on hotel Wi-Fi first
